Education

Exercising the brain to stimulate a cerebral robustness is the Education Department of Key Industries’ chief endeavor.

Classes in a respectful, cooperative atmosphere help pique curiosity in areas that may have lay dormant or, because of passing time, have become inflexible.  A curriculum with adult oriented content aids in improving basic, intermediate or advanced skill levels.  Discussions on relevant currant affairs, with the use of the language experience approach, experiential writing and editing practice, exploration of science inquiry and art expression, quest for reading skill and computer literacy, focus on teamwork and social harmony - all meld to synergistically activate the brain in the journey toward greater mental fitness.

Education - Homework

A sense of accomplishment emerges in an atmosphere of friendship and full acceptance.  A learner progresses from one-page reading exercises to learning Canadian History in exciting novels.  Adults see for the first time that art has inherent relevance and beauty.  Cartoon watching habits can change to tuning in to channel eight to harvest a newsworthy topic to share in class discussion.  Without continued growth at the adult stage, mental stagnation leads to physical unfitness and the increased need for externally based health care components.  By renegotiating with the adult-providing ways of accessing practical and relevant “life on life’s terms” strategies, a new playing field for educational goals is put in place and mental strength begins to flourish.
